Up to 23 Early Career Scientists (ECS), who wish to attend the 12th International Symposium on the Biology of Acinetobacter in Frankfurt, will be supported with a travel grant of the Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS).
Travel grants are conditional upon the acceptance of an abstract. For multiple-authored abstracts only the presenting author may apply for a travel grant.
The applicant has to be an active microbiologist and obtained his/her highest academic degree (Bachelor, Master or PhD) less than five years prior to the application deadline date, or be a PhD student, be a member of FEMS Member Society, and be presenting author of the abstract.
To file your application
Register and submit your abstract first. Then download and fill in the Early Career Scientist Meeting Grant application form:
Applications must be submitted only after submission of an abstract via email to the Organizing Secretariat (firstname.lastname@example.org) and have to be accompanied by a supporting letter from the Head of Department. You will also need to state your abstract title upon submission of the application. Application deadline is April 31, 2019. Successful applicants will be notified by the end of May 2019.
